As a photographer

Photography was taught to us at architecture school as a way of representation. To me, it was always about bringing together light, space, mood, and motion.  I learned photography in the analog era and practiced it for several years. The birth of digital cameras and the struggle to keep up with technology took the joy of it away from me, and I quit. In 2011 I got my first iPhone, and that was when I started taking photos again. iPhone's camera, with its decent quality, gave me a chance to capture urban life as a hobby.

The fact that your camera does not distract one's subject makes it extremely convenient to take good shots while keeping the scene in its natural form. New York, my hometown, created a lot of those opportunities. I also kept my habit while traveling around the world. On this page, I am presenting my street photographs of seven cities that I have visited during the last five years.  Manhattan, Brooklyn, Tehran, Berlin, Rome, Venice, Napoli, Rasht
